Some call it "whims of fate," others "coincidences," and some are left speechless in awe. These are the small details that occasionally shake our dormant perception of the world, as if they were screaming at us: "There's something more out there!"
The latest song by the Beatles, "Now and Then," has stirred quite a commotion. This song was recorded using the voice of one deceased Beatle (John) and the chords of another (George), with new musical tracks and the voices of the two still alive (Paul and Ringo).
You might already know some details about this musical event, and perhaps you've even listened to (and enjoyed) this song, which, by the way, has become another Number 1 hit for this band that changed not only music but, to some extent, the world.
What you might not know is the story behind this clock (see photo) that illustrates the back cover of the vinyl edition of the song, reminiscent of the glorious times of vinyl records.
This is the bewildering story of a clock...
Olivia Harrison recounts that 25 years ago, she was walking with her husband (George) when he was immediately drawn to a clock (the one in the photo) and bought it on the spot. He placed it in their garden where it stayed for 24 years until, a year ago—after George had passed away—Olivia cleaned it and moved it to the living room, placing it on the fireplace mantel.
A few months ago, Paul called Olivia to tell her they had managed to recover John's voice from an old cassette, which could be used for a new recording, thus reuniting the four Beatles, even though two were deceased. That song, as I mentioned, was "Now and Then," and at that very moment, while Olivia was talking to Paul, she was in the living room looking at that clock George had instinctively bought, which bore the exact same words as the song's title: "Now and Then."
If there were any doubts about whether George would have agreed to using the recorded material of the two deceased Beatles for a new album, they were dispelled at that moment. "George would approve," Olivia replied.

Such things happen to us all from time to time, and there's no possible explanation... unless someone from beyond is playing a prank to see if we can wake up and understand that there's more to life than this physical world we touch.
